Product Description

White Daisy Pocket Guipure Patch (Spun Poly)

A white Guipure Patch (Spun Poly) filled with flowers, 4.5 x 4 inches.

The centre holds nine large flowers, set in three neat rows of three. Each flower has rounded petals and a small ring in the middle. Fine threads join one flower to the next. All around them runs a border of tiny daisies, which also forms the edge of the patch. There is no plain border line, so the flowers themselves outline.

The top edge is straight, and the lower corners are rounded. This is the shape of a patch pocket.

It is a dyeable patch. It comes in white, and you can dye it to match your fabric. It is a sew-on patch with no glue, so you stitch it by hand or by machine.

Where to use it

  • Kurtis and kurtas: on the pocket, or as a patch for a kurta front
  • Shirts and tops: over the chest pocket
  • Dresses and frocks: on the bodice or as two side pockets
  • Kids' wear: on frocks, dungarees and pinafores
  • Jeans and skirts: on a back pocket
  • Tote bags and pouches: as a front panel

Loved by boutique owners, fashion designers and DIY creators

  • Boutique owners use it as a ready pocket on kurtis and kids' frocks. It adds a floral detail without any extra embroidery.
  • Fashion designers use floral patches for clothes like this on summer and resort lines, often dyed in pastel shades.
  • Kids' wear brands use it in pairs, one on each side of a frock or dungaree.
  • Garment manufacturers and exporters join several pieces side by side to make a floral band for a hem or yoke.
  • DIY creators and fashion students use it on denim pockets, tote bags, and cushion corners.

Why it works

Nine flowers give a full floral look. A single-flower patch is a motif. This one is a small floral panel, so it reads like printed or embroidered fabric.

The daisy edge hides the stitching. There is no hard outline. When you stitch along the small daisies, the patch blends into the garment.

The shape is ready for a pocket. The straight top lines up with a pocket opening, and the rounded corners follow the pocket curve.

White is only the start. White on denim or black looks fresh and clean. Dyed in pink, yellow, or lilac, it suits kids' wear and summer styles.

How to Use ?

  1. Dye first, if you want a colour. Let the patch dry fully before stitching.
  2. Place the patch with the straight edge at the top.
  3. Pin the four corners and the centre flower.
  4. Stitch around the border, catching each small daisy with one or two stitches.
  5. For a working pocket, leave the top edge open and add a lining behind the patch.
  6. Finish by knotting the thread on the wrong side.

FAQs

Q.What is a guipure patch?
A.It is a patch made in guipure style, where the design is formed by threads only, with no net fabric behind it.

Q.Can I dye this patch?
A.Yes. This patch is dyeable. Use a dye made for polyester, and test on one piece first, because the shade can vary.

Q.Is this a sew-on or an iron-on patch?
A.It is a sew-on patch. It has no glue on the back and needs to be stitched.

Q.Can I use it as a real pocket?
A.Yes, with a lining. The patch has open gaps, so small things can slip through without a fabric layer behind it.

Q.How big is this floral patch?
A.It is 4.5 inches (11.5 cm) long and 4 inches (10 cm) wide.

Q.Is it suitable for kids' wear?
A.Yes. It is flat and soft, with no beads, stones, or sequins.

Q.How many patches are in one pack?
A.One pack has 1 piece. For two pockets, order two.

Q.How do I wash it?
A.Hand wash gently in cold water with mild detergent. Do not scrub or wring. Dry flat in the shade. Iron on the wrong side on low heat, with a cloth in between.
