Product Description

A white Guipure Lace Patch (Spun Poly) with a starburst flower, 5 x 4.5 inches.

One large flower fills the centre. Its long, narrow petals spread out from the middle like rays. Small star-shaped flowers sit all around it and fill the space up to the border. Fine threads join every flower to the next. A soft wavy edge runs along all four sides.

The layout spreads out evenly from the centre, so it has a mandala-style look.

It is a dyeable patch. It comes in white, and you can dye it to match your fabric. It is a sew-on patch with no glue, so you stitch it by hand or by machine.

Where to use it

  • Kurtis and kurtas: on the front, the back yoke, or the pocket
  • Blouses: on the back, or as shoulder patches for a blouse
  • Suits: on the kameez front, as a flower patch for a suit
  • Tops and shirts: on the chest or sleeve
  • Dupattas and stoles: on the four corners
  • Tote bags and cushion covers: as a centre panel

Loved by boutique owners, fashion designers and DIY creators

  • Boutique owners use it on custom kurtis and blouses. It gives a hand-finished look without extra embroidery.
  • Fashion designers use white flower patches for clothes like this on summer and festive lines, often dyed in pastel or jewel shades.
  • Garment manufacturers and exporters place several pieces in a row to make a floral band for a hem or yoke.
  • Fashion students use it in sampling and portfolio garments.
  • DIY creators stitch it on plain kurtis, denim jackets, and cushion covers.

Why it works

The centre flower draws the eye. The long petals point outward, so the patch has a clear focus even from a distance.

The small flowers fill the whole patch. There are no empty areas, so it looks rich on a plain fabric.

The wavy edge is already finished. There is nothing to fold or hem. You stitch along the border, and the work is done.

White is only the start. White on black or navy stands out sharply. Dyed to match, it blends in like part of the fabric.

FAQs

Q.What is a guipure lace patch?
A.It is a patch made in guipure style, where the design is formed by threads only, with no net fabric behind it.

Q.Can I dye this patch?
A.Yes. This patch is dyeable. Use a dye made for polyester, and test on one piece first, because the shade can vary.

Q.Is this a sew-on or an iron-on patch?
It is a sew-on patch. It has no glue on the back and needs to be stitched.

Q.Can I use it as a shoulder patch for a blouse?
Yes. Use one on each shoulder, so order two pieces for a pair.

Q.How big is this patch?
A.It is 5 inches (12.5 cm) long and 4.5 inches (11.5 cm) wide.

Q.Will the base fabric show through?
A.Yes. The patch has open gaps between the flowers, so your fabric colour shows through them.

Q.How many patches are in one pack?
A.One pack has 1 piece.

Q.How do I wash it?
A.Hand wash gently in cold water with mild detergent. Do not scrub or wring. Dry flat in the shade. Iron on the wrong side on low heat, with a cloth in between.
