Large White Floral Butterfly Guipure Lace Patch (Spun Poly)

A large white Guipure Lace Patch (Spun Poly) in the shape of a butterfly, 8.8 x 6.9 inches.

One side is a butterfly wing, and the other side is a bunch of flowers. On the left, two wings spread out with fine vein lines and a small tail at the bottom. On the right, the wings are replaced by two open flowers with buds and leaves. The slim body joins the two halves in the middle.

The inside of each shape is filled with a fine mesh of threads. There is no net fabric behind it, so the garment colour shows through and the white outline looks crisp.

It is a dyeable patch. It comes in white, and you can dye it to match your fabric. It is a sew-on patch with no glue, so you stitch it by hand or by machine.

How to Use ?

1. Dye first, if you want a colour. Let the patch dry fully and flat before stitching.
2. Place the patch on the garment and check that the body of the butterfly sits straight.
3. Pin the wing tips, the tail, the flower tips, and the body.
4. Stitch along the outer edge, following the curves of the wings and petals.
5. Add a few stitches along the body and at the flower centres, so the middle stays flat.
6. Finish by knotting the thread on the wrong side.
