Product Description

White Rose Guipure Lace Patch(Spun Poly)

The patch has a flat top and a rounded bottom, like a small pocket. The base is an open diamond lattice. On it sits a scalloped flower frame, and in the middle is a rose with layered petals that stands up from the surface. Small loops run around the whole edge.

Guipure is a style of lace with no net behind it. The motifs are joined by fine threads, so the fabric below shows through the gaps. That is why this is also called a cutwork patch.

It is a dyeable patch. It comes in white, and you can dye it to match your fabric. It is a sew-on patch with no glue, so you stitch it by hand or by machine.

Where to use it

  • Blazers and coats: on the chest pocket, as blazer patches or coat patches
  • Shirts and tops: on the pocket or the back yoke, as shirt patches
  • Kurtis and kurtas: on the yoke, sleeve or side panel
  • Dresses and blouses: at the shoulder, waist or back
  • Sarees and dupattas: as a corner motif
  • Bags and home décor: on totes, pouches and cushion covers

Loved by boutique owners, fashion designers and DIY creators

  • Boutique owners dye it to match each order. One white patch can become any shade a customer asks for.
  • Fashion designers use it as a ready pocket detail. A rose patch for clothes gives a tailored blazer a soft, feminine touch.
  • Garment manufacturers and exporters stock it in white and dye it in batches with the garment fabric.
  • Tailors use lace patches for clothes like this to upgrade a plain shirt or kurti in minutes.
  • DIY creators and fashion students use it for upcycling, craft projects, and design samples.

Why it works

The rose gives depth. Most patches are flat. Here the petals are layered and raised, so it works like 3D flower patches for clothes, without beads or stones.

White is only the start. Use it as is for white flower patches for clothes, or dye it for a tone-on-tone look. On dark fabric, the lattice stands out sharply.

The shape fits a pocket. The flat top lines up with a pocket edge or a seam. The size, 10.5 x 10 cm, covers a standard chest pocket well.

It pairs with other trims. Match it with rose patches for clothes, cutwork patches, or a lace border in the same white.

  3. Pin it, or tack it with a few loose stitches.
  4. Stitch along the outer edge with matching thread. Catch each small loop.
  5. Secure the centre with a few hidden stitches under the rose, so it does not lift.
  6. Finish by knotting the thread on the wrong side.
