Product Description
A four-piece white lace set that covers the neckline, shoulders, and sleeves of a garment in one matching design.
The lace is guipure, also called Venice lace. Unlike net lace, it has no background mesh. The motifs are made of thick, raised cord and are joined to each other by fine open-work bars. Here the design combines bold scrollwork with floral motifs, so every curve stands out clearly against the fabric underneath.
The set gives you four shaped pieces:
- Main yoke for the front or back neckline
- Two sleeve pieces, one for each arm
- Collar band for the neck
Use all four together for a complete lace top section, or use single pieces across different garments.
Where to use it
- Saree blouses, kurtis and tunics
- Gowns, evening dresses and cape-style tops
- Bridal and festive outfits
- Boutique and designer collections
- Stage costumes and capelets
Why designers choose it
A yoke set saves cutting and matching time, because the pieces are already shaped and the pattern is the same on all of them. White guipure looks soft and bridal on white or ivory fabric. On black, navy, maroon, or emerald, it becomes a strong, high-contrast overlay.
Key Features
- Four matching pieces: main yoke, two sleeve pieces, and a collar
- Guipure (Venice) lace with no background net
- Raised corded scrollwork and floral motifs
- Open-work bars that let the base fabric show through
- Pre-shaped pieces that are ready to stitch
- White spun poly lace
How to Use
- Lay out all four pieces on the cut garment panels before stitching, and check the placement.
- Pin the main yoke to the front or back neckline, matching the centre of the yoke to the centre of the garment.
- Stitch around the outer edge and along the inner motifs with white thread, by hand or with a narrow machine zigzag.
- Attach the sleeve pieces to the sleeve panels in the same way, then stitch the collar band around the neck.
- For a sheer look, carefully trim away the base fabric behind the lace after stitching.
FAQs
Q.What is guipure lace?
A.Guipure, also known as Venice lace, is a heavy lace with raised motifs joined by bars instead of a net background. It has more texture and body than net lace.
Q.What do I get in one set?
A.One main yoke, two sleeve pieces, and one collar. That is four pieces in total.
Q.Will the yoke fit my size?
A.The main yoke measures 16 x 18 inches (40.6 x 45.7 cm). Compare this with your pattern or garment neckline before ordering. The lace can be trimmed along the motifs to adjust the fit.
Q.Can I use the pieces separately?
A.Yes. For example, use the yoke on a blouse, the sleeve pieces on a kurti, and the collar on a dress.
Q.Can I dye this lace?
A.It is made of spun poly, which does not take ordinary cotton dyes well. Test a small trimmed piece first, or use the lace in white.
