Product Description

White Rectangle Guipure Lace Patch (Spun Poly)

A white rectangle Guipure Lace Patch (Spun Poly), 4 x 3.5 inches, with rounded corners.

A border of short bars runs all around the edge, like the rungs of a ladder. Inside the border, four leaf shapes spread out from a small oval in the centre. Each leaf is outlined in fine dotted lines and filled with open cutwork. The design is neat and symmetrical, so it looks tidy from every side.

The straight sides and rounded corners match the shape of a patch pocket. It sits on a shirt or kurta pocket as if it were made for it.

It is a dyeable patch. It comes in white, and you can dye it to match your fabric. It is a sew-on patch with no glue, so you stitch it by hand or by machine.

Where to use it

  • Shirts: on the chest pocket, as a shirt patch for men and women
  • Kurtas and kurtis: on the pocket, the placket end, or the side panel
  • Blazers and waistcoats: on a patch pocket
  • Sleeves: as an elbow or cuff panel
  • Tote bags and pouches: as a front label or a pocket cover
  • Cushion covers and table mats: at the centre or in the corners

Loved by boutique owners, fashion designers and DIY creators

  • Boutique owners use it on shirt and kurta pockets. It is a quick way to make a plain garment look custom.
  • Fashion designers use it in menswear and unisex lines, where a floral patch would feel too soft.
  • Garment manufacturers and exporters line up several rectangles to make a panel, a yoke, or a wide border.
  • Tailors keep it as a ready pocket trim for shirts, kurtas and waistcoats.
  • DIY creators and fashion students use it for patchwork, bags and home décor projects.

Why it works

It is geometric, not floral. Most shirt patches are flowers, logos, or cartoons. This one is a clean, structured motif, so it suits formal shirts and kurtas as well as casual wear.

The border frames the design. The ladder edge gives the patch a finished outline. You do not need any extra trim around it.

Rectangles join neatly. Place two or more side by side, and the borders line up to make one long strip.

White is only the start. White on white gives a subtle, textured pocket. White on black, navy, or denim gives a sharp contrast. You can also dye it to match the garment.

  6. Finish by knotting the thread on the wrong side.

FAQs

Q.What is a guipure lace patch?
A.It is a patch made in guipure style, where the design is formed by threads only, with no net fabric behind it.

Q.Can I dye this patch?
A.Yes. This patch is dyeable. Use a dye made for polyester, and test on one piece first, because the shade can vary.

Q.Is this a sew-on or an iron-on patch?
A.It is a sew-on patch. It has no glue on the back and needs to be stitched.

Q.Will it fit a shirt pocket?
A.It is 4 x 3.5 inches (10 x 9 cm). This suits most adult shirt and kurta pockets. Measure your pocket first to be sure.

Q.Is it suitable for men’s shirts?
A.Yes. The design is geometric and symmetrical, so it works on men’s, women’s, and unisex garments.

Q.Can I join several patches together?
A.Yes. Place them side by side and stitch each one down to make a strip or a panel.

Q.How many patches are in one pack?
A.One pack has 1 piece.

Q.How do I wash it?
A.Hand wash gently in cold water with mild detergent. Do not scrub or wring. Dry flat in the shade. Iron on the wrong side on low heat, with a cloth in between.
